If your family is like my family, your biking skill level is all over the board. I have participated in century rides, triathlons, and love riding a bike for exercise and recreation. My teenagers are healthy and have relatively strong legs. They couldn't beat me in a race but could keep up with me on medium-distanced rides. My youngest still rides a dirt bike and his legs haven't developed the strength or endurance to ride past our own neighborhood. My wife has never been excited about cycling and "hates getting sweaty".
What do we do? We have four different cycling levels. We like doing things as a family, but there is no way we can all go out on a ride without someone making a sacrifice or experiencing a lot of pain.
Electric Bikes to the rescue! Electric bikes allowed us to close the gap among the various levels of experience and strength. We were able to ride to the park or around the city in way that made in fun for everyone. Electric bikes are a great family past time.
